GRAY SIDE- reflects 18% of the incident light (so-called medium gray, almost exactly in the middle between black and white). Equipped with an imprint that facilitates focusing. The gray card allows you to accurately determine the exposure in difficult lighting conditions or when taking pictures of objects with a reflective surface (which is misleading to the light meter built into the camera). The exposure meters in the cameras give the most accurate exposure measurements when you measure light on a gray card. 

WHITE SIDE- reflects 90% of incident light. It is a great tool for setting the white balance and getting the correct color reproduction in the photo. Indispensable in situations when the lighting of a given scene does not correspond to any of the white patterns programmed in the camera or when it is mixed and consists of light sources with different color temperatures - e.g. a room illuminated by a bulb (3200K), into which sunlight (5500K) enters through the window).
